Mrs. Pellin's Post
March 9th to March 13th

Thursday, March 12th is an early dismissal day and on Friday, March 13th is there is no school! Please plan accordingly. I look forward to meeting each and every one of you during parent conferences this week.

This week the first graders will read a book that is about planting bean seeds. We will write about the process of how a seed grows into a plant. We will continue working on our Leprechaun writing project.

This week the second graders will read about different sports that are played in the spring. The students will write abut their favorite sport or a sport that they participate in. They will also finish their Leprechaun writing project.

Both of the reading groups will continue to work on "Word Wall" words and we will play spelling games.

Center Cass School District # 66 is in the process of implementing an Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) mandate, Response of Intervention (RTI). RTI is an array of procedures that can be used to determine if and how students respond to specific changes in instruction. RTI provides an improved process and instruction for school teams in designing, implementing, and educational interventions.
